Musical Theatre Wiki

Six is a British musical written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. The musical is a modern retelling of the six wives of Henry VIII. It is presented as a pop concert, with each wife taking turns singing and telling their story to see who suffered the most due to Henry. They compete to become the group's lead singer.

The show opens with the six queens performing an opening musical number ("Ex-Wives"). They are a six-member pop girl group comprising of Henry VIII's ex-wives: Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr. They each introduce themselves one-by-one and welcome the audience to their performance. They address the audience and announce a competition.
